“Making a mid-career switch and learning a new skill can feel overwhelming, but after completing a three-month Data Science Bootcamp with General Assembly earlier this year, I’m so glad I chose this path. As a beginner, the pace and intensity can get demanding, especially when we have to apply what we have just learnt on the fly and integrate into the biweekly projects. “Had a wonderful time going to “school” here! Having no programming background at all, the expectations of the programme was made pretty clear to me before I even decided to go for it. The pace was fast for me, but that was kind of expected as well. So self-learning before it even starts is a must—realistically. The programme is pretty structured, with all the learning materials readily available.

The most important thing to me when choosing a class is the instructor and the comfort level being in the campus.

Desmond was my instructor and I fell in love with him! He was kind, patient, knowledgable and did waaaay more than he probably should. Desmond, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU. You are amazing!

Front desk was very helpful as well whenever I needed something. When I was there, I was a nursing mummy who had to use the nursing room and the freezer daily. No issues at all. Multiple spots to do my stuff as well, could choose to be in a group or alone in the corner.”
