Course information – bootcamps

Short courses help you build or strengthen specific skills. They’re about 40 hours long, fully online, and part-time—perfect if you’re working and want to upskill on the side.

Bootcamps are for people who want to switch careers into tech. They’re more intensive (about 420 hours) and taught in a hybrid format, with both online and in-person sessions. You can take them full-time or part-time formats depending on what suits you best.

Our bootcamps are available in two formats:

Full-time: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (or 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)
Part-time: Tuesday to Thursday evenings (7–10 p.m.) and Saturdays (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.)

Our bootcamps are designed for beginners, so you don’t need any prior tech experience to get started. You’ll need to be at least 18 years old to enrol. We also recommend attending one of our free introductory classes to see if the course is the right fit for you.

Yes. You’ll receive a General Assembly certificate of completion, recognised by employers in Singapore and around the world.

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes things come up. Our bootcamps are intensive, full-time (three months) or part-time (six months), so attending every class will help you stay on track and build a strong portfolio for graduation.

If you’re unwell or have a family emergency, let your instructor know and provide a medical certificate or relevant documents where possible. We encourage you to avoid taking time off for leisure or travel during the program, as it may be challenging to catch up with the fast-paced lessons. Our team will always do our best to support you.

Yes. To graduate, you’ll need to meet our attendance requirements*:

Full-time students: no more than 3 missed classes
Part-time students: no more than 6 missed weekday classes or 3 missed weekend classes

*If you’re enrolling through a government subsidy or placement programme, your attendance requirements may be different. Speak to our Admissions team during your application process to confirm the details.

Our bootcamps are immersive, so you’ll be working on projects that showcase your skills and prepare you for a career switch. Alongside class time, you’ll need to set aside extra hours to complete assignments and build your portfolio:

Full-time students: around 3–6 hours per day (about 20 hours a week)
Part-time students: at least 10 hours a week

This extra effort will help you get the most out of the programme and graduate with work you’re proud to show employers.

No. While we don’t guarantee job placements, we’re fully committed to supporting your job search every step of the way. As a graduate, you’ll be paired with a dedicated career coach who will guide you through personalised and group coaching sessions, help you build a strong portfolio, and connect you with our network of hiring partners and employers. We’ll equip you with the tools, confidence, and support you need to succeed—and while the final step of landing a role is in your hands, you won’t be doing it alone.

Course information – short courses

Short courses run part-time only, with classes twice a week, usually two hours per session, making it easier to fit into a busy schedule.

You don’t need any previous tech experience to join a short course. As long as you’re at least 18 years old, you’re all set to begin.

Yes. Upon completing a short course, you will receive a General Assembly certificate of completion, which you can proudly display on LinkedIn or include in your portfolio.

Students will be provided with the appropriate support to catch up before the next class.

Yes. To successfully complete your short course and receive your certificate, you can miss up to three classes. Missing more than three may affect your ability to graduate.

We recommend setting aside around three hours per week to work on assignments and projects. This will help you keep up with the course and get the most out of your learning.

Money matters: Government subsidies, payment options, and more

Yes, subsidies are available for our bootcamps.
Depending on your eligibility, you may qualify for various government-supported funding that can significantly reduce your course fees. To learn more, check out the details here or get in touch with our Admissions team for a no-pressure chat—we’re happy to help you explore your options.

To determine your eligibility, you’ll need to go through our admissions process. As part of this, we’ll collect a few details from you and work with the relevant government agencies—like IMDA for TIPP-supported programmes—to confirm your subsidy eligibility. Don’t worry, our team will guide you through every step.

Yes. If you have SkillsFuture Credits or funds in your PSEA, you can use them to further offset your remaining course fees after any subsidies are applied.
You can check your SkillsFuture Credit balance via the E-Services on their website. If you’re using SkillsFuture Credits, our Admissions team will walk you through the claim application during enrollment.
To view your PSEA balance, refer to the instructions provided here.

Yes. Many of our courses are UTAP-supported, which means you can use UTAP to offset part of your fees. You can check the list of GA UTAP-supported courses here to see if your chosen course qualifies. If you’re unsure, our Admissions team will be happy to assist you.
You can find the full details of UTAP funding support here.

We accept payment via debit and credit card.

Students can withdraw from a course at any time. Any applicable refunds will be processed according to our refund policy outlined below.

Refunds are prorated based on the full tuition fee and the percentage of the program you have completed at the time of withdrawal. The refund amount is calculated from whichever is later: the date you notify General Assembly in writing or your last date of attendance.

Please note: if you enrolled with a government subsidy (e.g., IMDA-TIPP) and withdraw after the course has started, you may not be eligible for that particular subsidy again. Please check with the next training provider for more information.

If you used SkillsFuture Credits (SFC) or your Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) to offset fees, refunds will be processed in this order: cash first, then PSEA, and finally SFC. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method, with any applicable fees deducted.

This small fee helps us get everything ready for you—like course materials and access to our platforms—so you can hit the ground running from day one. Since these preparations are made before your course starts, the fee isn’t refundable if you decide to withdraw.

You can browse our course catalog, choose the course that best suits your goals, and click “apply now” to begin your application. If you’re unsure or want some guidance, feel free to reach out to our friendly Admissions team—they’ll be happy to help you find the right fit and walk you through the signup process.
